Il soprano lirico spinto olandese-americano Lisa Houben inizia la sua carriera internazionale con Tosca, poi Manon Lescaut, Lady Macbeth e Aida. Ha trionfato nel Rosenkavalier di Strauss nel 2008 a Roma, nell’Adriana Lecouvreur a Palermo. Nel 2010 è impegnata a Le Monnaie a Bruxelles in La Forza del Destino, Macbeth, Yvonne e Medée e in concerti di Wagner. A Bruxelles canta ancora Yvonne, Elektra e ripete Macbeth a Norimberga nel 2011. Canta Il giro di Vite a Rouen e Macbeth a Bordeaux. A Maggio 2012 è impegnata con Der Zwerg a Lione. Ha cantato lo Stabat Mater per il Teatro Massimo di Palermo. In Agosto 2013 debutta in Nabucco a Split e a Novembre canta Giovanna D’Arco a Rotterdam.

Nel 2014 canta Giovanna D’Arco a Leiden e Gorinchem in Olanda, Quarta Sinfonia di Mahler a Verona, Machbeth a Bordeaux e concerti al Festival di Bruxelles. La sua discografia comprende ad oggi le registrazioni in prima mondiale dell’opera Zazà di Leoncavallo e della Ines De Castro di Persiani e altre opere, oltre ad una rara e inedita raccolta di Ave Maria Italiane.

Dutch-American soprano lirico spinto Lisa Houben began her international career with Tosca, then Manon Lescaut, Lady Macbeth and Aida. In 2008 she triumphed in the Strauss Rosenkavalier in Rome and in 2009 in Adriana Lecouvreur in Palermo. In 2010 she was committed at Le Monnaie in Bruxelles in La Forza del Destino, Macbeth, Yvonne and Medée and in Wagner’s concerts. In Bruxelles she sang again Yvonne and Elektra and repeated Macbeth in Nurnberg in 2011. She sang Il giro di vite in Rouen and Macbeth in Bordeaux. In May 2012 she was committed in Der Zwerg in Lyon. In October she sang Stabat Mater at Teatro Massimo in Palermo. In August 2013 she made her debut in Nabucco in Split and in November she performed Giovanna D’Arco in Rotterdam.

In 2014 she sang Giovanna D’Arco in Leiden and Gorinchem in Holland, Mahler’s Fourth Simphony at the Opera di Verona, Macbeth in Bordeaux and concerts at Festival in Bruxelles. Her discography to date includes the world-premiere recordings of Leoncavallo’s Zaza and Persiani’s Ines de Castro and others, plus a rare and inedited Italian Ave Maria’s.
