Considerato uno dei direttori più versatili al mondo, Alexander Frey ottiene numerosi riconoscimenti internazionali per le sue esibizioni nei più importanti teatri del mondo e nelle maggiori sale da concerto, sia in qualità di pianista, organista e cembalista che come direttore d’orchestra.

Dal 1992 al 1996 è Direttore musicale del famoso teatro tedesco fondato dal Bertolt Brecht, il Berliner Ensemble, dove collabora con il regista Peter Zadek. Ha collaborato in qualità di Direttore principale con l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Roma dal 1996 al 2002, e fino al 2000 ricopre la carica di direttore della Stern Chamber Orchestra, formatasi dai musicisti principali della Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague. In qualità di pianista si esibisce in tutto il mondo presso istituzioni prestigiose quali : Adana Symphony Orchestra, Akademisches Orchester Berlin, Berlin Philharmonic, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Sinfonietta, Bohemian Symphony Prague, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Leiopzig Gewendhaus Orchester, Orchestra della Fondazione Arena di Verona, Orchestra Filarmonica Italuiana Milano, Orquestra Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico (OSEM), Philarmonia Orchester Berlin, Rundfunk Sinfonie Orcvhester Berlin, State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, etc.

Considered one of the most versatile conductor of his generation, Alexander Frey received numerous international awards for his performances in the most important theaters in the world and in major concert halls, both as pianist, organist and harpsichordist as well as  conductor.

From 1992 to 1996 he was Music Director of the famous German theater,  the Berliner Ensemble, founded by Bertolt Brecht, where he collaborated with director Peter Zadek.
